Course Description:

The class is a seminar and will be primarily discussion based. The success of this class depends on your full participation. Attendance and preparation for class are necessary in order to succeed in this course. I expect that all sincere contributions will be treated with respect in order to enhance an atmosphere of cooperation rather than competitive individualism. One of the goals of this class is to increase your self-confidence in expressing yourself verbally. To do that we must encourage familiarity with each other and open, good-humored, and generous exchange in the classroom.
