Honors Program: A pathway to excellence.

HON 101/301 ARTISTS OF FRANCE AND SPAIN

This is a travel course during which students will visit some of the major art museums in France and Spain in addition to many of the locations painted by the artists. As an introductory art history course (gen ed), it will inculcate students in a life-long love of learning more about art and art history. Special attention will be paid to masterpieces at the same time of year when the students will be traveling through the autumn landscape.

Students will present a public presentation describing specific works of art and their relationship to other works of art and artists and their historical context.
